The cozy and gorgeous Albert's Cottage, renovated in the summer of 2025, warmly welcomes travelers to stay in the heart of the Paimio countryside.
Albert's Cottage was originally built in the late 19th century and was grandmother's cottage from the early 20th century until the 1960s.
Now the cottage has been completely renovated to its new glory and serves guests all year round.
Albert Lindberg (b. 1884) was the host of the Ylhäinen farm from 1917 to 1933. Albert was a hardworking man who renovated many of the farm's fields and he built many of the farm's significant buildings, such as the granary, barn and main building, which are still standing today. The accommodation building is named in his memory as a tribute.
Albert's Cottage is located on the Ylhäinen farm next to Sauvontie.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom.
If necessary, the rooms can be divided for two separate groups.
There are beds for 8 people. One bedroom has a 160cm wide double bed, the other two rooms each have one 80x200cm bed, as well as bunk beds, which are built of sturdy solid wood and are suitable for both adults and children.
We have invested in the quality of sleep. The beds are Finnish Unikulma hotel beds. Each bedroom has its own air-conditioning pump, which ensures a suitable sleeping temperature in any weather.
The accommodation includes bed linen and towels. The beds are made according to the stated number of people. Please indicate your preference for room division in the additional information.
The kitchen is well equipped and the fridge-freezer is spacious. There is a dining table for four in the kitchen, and the cottage has additional stools around the table if necessary.
In front of the cottage there is a cozy terrace from which you can admire the farm's horses and beautiful rural landscapes.
Pets are welcome at the property. The accommodation service's pet fee is 10 € / booking.
Paimion Koirametsä (Paimio Dog Forest) is located in connection with the farm, just over a kilometer from Albert's Cottage. If you are traveling with a dog, it is definitely worth combining your visit with your turn at the dog forest. As an accommodation customer, you will receive a 20% discount on booking the dog forest.

Ylhäinen farm is a versatile and modern farm, where the main production direction is the cultivation of grain and special crops (such as sugar beet) and the production of turkey hatching eggs.
The farm's electricity is produced for a large part of the year with its own solar panels.
The turkey sheds are heated with wood chips in the farm's own heating plant.
